Our telecommunicators are fully trained to operate our newly unfitted dispatch center, which operates a full Sonoran suite of systems. We utilize Sonoran CAD and Sonoran Radio to ensure a fully modern and smooth operation of our dispatching center.
In February 2025, Blaine County faced a growing challenge: the lack of a certified dispatching agency to handle emergency calls and coordinate vital first responder services. The county’s public safety infrastructure was struggling, and local law enforcement and emergency services were overwhelmed by the absence of a centralized dispatch system. Responding to the urgent need, the Blaine County Sheriff's Office was given the green light by the state to initiate a new program—Blaine County Communications.
This bold move came after months of planning and advocacy to ensure the county could meet state requirements for a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). The Sheriff's Office, understanding the critical importance of quick and reliable communication in emergencies, took swift action to build a team of highly-trained dispatchers and implement state-of-the-art technology.
With approval from state authorities, Blaine County Communications officially launched, ensuring that every emergency 911 call in the county would be answered promptly and efficiently. The program was designed to bridge the gap in emergency services by providing a professional, certified, and centralized dispatching hub to support local law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS teams.
In just a few short days, Blaine County Communications became the heartbeat of the county’s emergency response system, offering reliable and professional dispatching services that the community could count on during their most critical moments. What began as a necessity quickly evolved into a vital lifeline, bringing the county’s first responders together with unmatched coordination and care.
